The session aims at discussing various topics related to the mineral kingdom: recently discovered new mineral species, the last modifications and propositions of improvement on the mineralogical nomenclature, systematics and classification of mineral groups. Moreover, contributions on potentially new minerals, re-investigation of known minerals (and of their synthetic analogues), new polytypes and polymorphs of minerals will be welcome.
