Welcome message

Dear Participants!

Our conference is going to be held on time, no matter what, so start preparing your abstracts!

The abstract submission system opens on April 1st (2021).

If possible, we will meet face to face, otherwise we will defeat the virus with a successful online event.

Please follow our page for details.

EMC2020-2021 Organising Committee

It is with regret that due to the current global situation with the Coronavirus (COVID-19), the Scientific and Organizing Committees have taken the difficult decision to postpone emc2020 to 2021. The new proposed date is 29th August – 2nd September 2021 – the place of the conference remains unchanged.

This is a tremendous disappointment for the mineralogical community in general and for the EMC and the emc2020 Conference Organizing Committee in particular. We were looking very much forward to welcoming you to an emc2020 with several hundred participants, exhibitors, and sponsors. However, our primary aim is to keep our delegates, speakers, exhibitors, and staff as safe as possible at this time.

We apologize to all those who will be impacted by this decision but would request your understanding.

With the best wishes of health, perseverance and human solidarity in the fight for a secure future,
Yours faithfully
Organizing Committee of EMC2020

„Mineralogy in the modern world”

Following the success of the 1st and 2nd European Mineralogical Conference, the emc2020 will be focused on current and future challenges in the Earth, planetary and environmental sciences, and fostering an exchange of new views and research results between scientists from Europe and beyond.

The city of Kraków is a vibrant, academic and tourist city in the heart of Europe. Modern infrastructure, efficient public transportation and famous Polish hospitality make it a safe and friendly place for visitors from all over the world. The city dates back to Middle Ages and has traditionally been one of the leading centers of Polish and European academic, cultural, and artistic life. It was the capital of Poland from 1038 to 1569.

We warmly invite you to Krakow!

The conference will be held from Sunday, August 29th until Thursday, September 2nd, 2021 at the Auditorium Maximum, the conference center of the Jagiellonian University. The conference center is conveniently located right in the middle of Kraków, a 10-minute walk from the main square of Old Town.
